Synopsis
Tserof Sutef《胎動森林》 is an interactive sound game focused on the grip of identity experienced by today’s Chinese youth.
It is a continuous conversation of self-exploration. Its elements are distilled from collective generational memories, subjective emotional states, and everyday social realities, forming an ever-evolving dialogue between external structures and the inner self in pursuit of authenticity.
There are three chapters/worlds in Tserof Sutef. The three symbolic virtual worlds are sequentially connected. Each world is a consequence of the previous one which questions the players: how can one always make a honest choice within a constrained society? Tserof Sutef emphasizes the players journey as an continuous process without a fixed beginning or ending, making the worlds a complete feedback loop.

Playing Manual
Welcome to Tserof Sutef《胎動森林》! This is an interactive audiovisual journey of self exploration.
To navigate this symbolic world and engage with the shifting reality around you, please use the following controls:
Move & Perspective
- WASD Keys: Use these to move horizontally (W for forward, S for backward, A for left, and D for right).
- Q / E Keys: Control your verticality. Press Q to ascend and E to descend.
- Mouse: Move the mouse to control your POV (Point of View). Your direction of travel is guided by where you look.
Interaction
As you explore, you will encounter various floating elements—embryonic forms, luminous neurotransmitters, and introspective mirrors.
- F Key: Press F to interact with specific functional objects.
- Environmental Feedback: Interactions are not just mechanical; they trigger immediate changes in sound, brightness, and visibility, reshaping the space based on your choices.
Note: The path becomes certain only through your movement. In this constrained society, your only task is to seek an honest choice.

Note
If you cannot open the file, please follow the steps below:
- Unzip in /Application folder.
- Open Terminal and add the following command: “sudo xattr -cr ” (caution: the space after the -cr is crucial).
- Drag the app file in the Application folder into Terminal.
- Press ENTER.
After doing all the above, you will be able to double-click on the application icon and enter the game.
